'Singing is about communicating...' Barbara Streisland

One of the best ways to improve as a musician is to listen to the 'greats'. I recently came across a series of videos which show some of the creative process in Barbara Streisland's album Encore. The album is duets and in the videos, Barbara and the artists talk about the creative process. There is so much wisdom in these about communication. The 'art' of communicating in music is so critical. Yes, technique is important and allows you to explore, however technique on its own will never ever touch the emotions of people. It is the sharing of your own heart and emotions through the music. I would encourage you to watch these videos made around the Encore album. You will learn so much...as I did.
